Be aware of anything that
might have triggered or caused your migraine attacks such as:

Supplements for migraine
·
Magnesium 500 mg a day,
·
Vitamin B2 100 to 200 mg or occasionally up to 400 mg a day
·
Coenzyme Q10 100 to 400 mg or more a day if not expensive for you.
·
Fish oil or flax seed oil or krill oil about 1000 or 1200 mg a day,
which include EPA, DHA and Omega-3 fatty acid.
·
Herbal Supplements Butterbur (Petadolex) Feverfew etc
·
Mediterranean diet, more fruits and vegetables.
·
Berries, blue berries, strawberries, if not allergic.
·
Meditation at least 15 minutes deep breathing techniques twice a day,
Yoga, Pilate etc
Migraine abortive treatments
·
Fast acting NSAIDs such as FDA approved Cambia packets
·
Triptans: Fast acting ones include Relpax, Maxalt; Longer acting triptans
could include Imitrex, Treximet, and Zomig.
·
You could also take NSAIDs like Tylenol, Aleve, Advil or take two
Tylenol plus Aleve or Advil (Do not use these often due to chance of
Rebound/Withdrawal headache)
·
Nausea medications such as Compazine, Metoclopromide or Zofran
·
Other treatments may include injections such as Sumavel dosepro,
Ketorolac, Sumatriptan shots, Alsuma or IV treatments (Mg, Depokene) Nerve
Blocks
Preventive treatments
·
Antiseizure medications such as Topamax or Depakote
·
Antidepressant medications such as tricyclic depressant drugs such as
amitriptyline, nortriptyline
·
SSRIs such as Zoloft, Celexa, Lexapro
·
Blood pressure medication such as atenolol, nadolol, propranolol and
metoprolol
·
Calcium channel blocker such as verapamil
·
Cyproheptadine
·
Botulinum toxin therapy such as Botox
·
Nerve Blocks: Occipital or Supraorbital Occipital Stimulator

1- Avoid headache triggers
if possible
2- Take headache supplements
3- Avoid dehydration and
hunger, well hydrate yourself, do not skip meals
